Wooller’s metal and plaster arches were installed over her family bathtub before being moved to the installation. . Every member of her immediate family shares a deep love of water, ablutions and baths are a place for healing, communing and cleansing the soul.
While the artist was disabled by a debilitating spinal injury, the bath provided a liminal space where she could exist without physical pain. The piece was constructed collaboratively with her children; their hands layering bandages over the fragile arches in an act of warmth, love and healing, devoid of judgement.
